Beginning on 1 January, I’ll be working under the tutelage of Barbara Haveland for a six month period. Barbara is a well established and highly respected Danish translator who has worked with some of Denmark’s finest authors. I first met Barbara at a translation event at The Danish Embassy in London last year where she kindly offered me help in getting further established in translation. I was offered my first sample translation job on Barbara’s recomendation, an Alen Meskovic novel, with which she also provided very useful and very constructive editorial advice. I can’t wait to start working with Barbara on a very exciting translation project.
